Blackboard 9.1 Tool Guide

Last year I ran across a Moodle Tool Guide for Teachers and thought that whenever I get the time I would create one for Blackboard. Well, the time has come. This guide will allow you to compare the functionality and pedagogical advantages of some standard Blackboard tools, as well as how tricky the tool is to set up.

While the original Moodle Tool Guide was created to be printed as a poster, this one is designed to be printed front to back on 8 1/2 x 11 paper to keep as a handy reference.

Feeback and suggestions are appreciated.

  1. Hi - really interesting thanks.

Just wondering what software you used to make this.

  2. If we give you credit, can we post this guide on our Bb help site?

  3. The tool guide was created in PowerPoint and feel free to use it.

  4. I see your permission to use this source, but I was wondering if you will still grant this permission for educational use, especially for university faculty. I will cite you as the original creator of this format using MLA, and point to this blog entry, but I would like to update for certain features for the updates in Bb, since it's not 2014. I'll also modify a couple of text box placements that may have gone a little haywire when I opened in my current software. I will also cite Joyce Seitzinger with the original Moodle verison.

    Cheers.
